Me and my downhill bike after a day on the mountain at Sunrise Ski Resort.
11/10/2010 - After the worst two years of my life, filled with hopes and disappointments, my daughter is now away at college. I wish her well in her new adventure! (Come back when you're grown up and ready to take responsibility for your actions kiddo.)
In the summer of 2010, just as I was finally feeling healthy myself, my father-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Every time he goes through another round of chemotherapy, he ends up in the hospital with blood clots. Earlier this fall, he had a stroke and is learning to speak and use his right hand again. To say I am disgusted with the health care system here in the United States would be an understatement. I highly recommend anyone with cancer check out Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski in Houston, TX, USA. There is a very interesting documentary on him at http://www.burzynskimovie.com and a book has been written about him, called The Burzynski Breakthrough. I think this is a must read for anyone with cancer or anybody who is interested in how our FDA works!
I'm a computer programmer and system administrator for a living, and a musician, martial artist, woodworker, electronics tech, and road, mountain and MX bike rider for hobbies.
My Facebook Page - I haven't logged into this thing in at least a year. I realized that social networking is just one more time suck in a life that is too short to waste! I have too many missed deadlines and projects that I need to catch up on before I let myself be sucked back into that place.
My Twitter Page - I only update this from my blackberry when I'm traveling, it actually seems to be a decent way to let people know what is up.
You can email me at doug (at) doug wellington (dot) com. It may take a couple days for me to get back to you.
